LAPU-LAPU CITY, CEBU, PHILIPPINES | September 2026 — Building on its standing as a top destination for international conventions, Savoy Hotel Mactan Newtown has been officially designated as the host residence for the East Asia Inter-Regional Tourism Federation (EATOF) General Assembly 2026.

Scheduled from September 1 to 5, 2026, at the Mactan Expo, the five-day gathering unites provincial leaders, tourism ministers, and policymakers from 10 East Asian member provinces to strengthen regional tourism policy and drive joint economic initiatives.

Strategic Partnership with the Cebu Provincial Government

Organized with the Cebu Provincial Government, EATOF 2026 highlights a strong public-private partnership aimed at positioning Cebu as a global destination. The summit brings direct opportunities for cross-border trade, investment, and cultural exchange, driving sustainable economic growth across local communities and the island’s tourism sector.

This partnership between the Cebu Provincial Government and Savoy Hotel Mactan Newtown highlights the island's combined readiness to host high-level international gatherings.

Warm Cebuano Hospitality for International Leaders

Drawing on its experience hosting the ASEAN Tourism Forum and ASEAN Summit, Savoy Hotel Mactan Newtown is implementing VIP service standards for visiting delegates. The hotel is coordinating across the 28.1-hectare Megaworld township to manage seamless arrivals, curated dining, and daily delegate transfers.

Established in 2000 on the initiative of South Korea's Gangwon Province, EATOF brings together 10 East Asian provincial governments. As a regional tourism alliance, the organization focuses on sustainable travel policies, shared marketing campaigns, and cross-border economic cooperation.
