Savoy Hotel Mactan Backs Cebu's Rescued Animals

Savoy Hotel Mactan Newtown Joins Paws of Love 3 in Supporting Cebu’s Rescued Animals

Sometimes, a little kindness goes a long way, especially when a community comes together for those who cannot ask for help themselves. At Paws of Love 3, pet lovers, local businesses, and community partners united to support rescued animals, raising 305 kilograms of dog food for Happy Tails and surpassing the event’s 300-kilogram goal.

Held from October 24-26 at Mactan Newtown Alfresco, the fair was organized by Cebu Creators Circle and brought together pet owners, animal lovers, and local merchants through a gathering of pets, booths, and community activities. Beyond celebrating the bond between people and their animal companions, the event highlighted how collective efforts can make a tangible difference in the lives of rescued animals.

Among the event's sponsors was Savoy Hotel Mactan Newtown, a pet-friendly property that recognizes the important place animals hold in people's lives. The hotel contributed a sack of dog food toward the community's collection and offered discounted gift certificates for pet-friendly stays, allowing attendees to enjoy future getaways with their animal companions.

For Savoy, being pet-friendly goes beyond welcoming animals into its spaces. It is also about recognizing the experiences people want to share with their pets, from everyday moments to trips and getaways. The hotel accommodates small- to medium-sized dogs and cats, and even fish, giving guests options when planning a stay in Mactan with their animal companions.

Through its participation in Paws of Love 3, Savoy joined fellow sponsors, merchants, and organizers in supporting a cause that extends beyond the event itself. The 305 kilograms of dog food collected for Happy Tails reflects what a community can accomplish when individuals and businesses come together around a shared purpose.

As more people seek experiences that allow them to bring their pets along, Savoy continues to embrace a pet-friendly approach to hospitality, making room for the companions who are part of the family.

At Savoy Hotel Mactan Newtown, guests can color their experience with memorable stays alongside their beloved companions, and with Paws of Love 3, even small acts of kindness can make a difference when a community works together.
